Jets quarterback Zach Wilson just dropped a significant hint that his tenure in New York is coming to an end.
The No. 2 pick of the 2021 NFL Draft has been the subject of trade rumors for a while now. Wilson struggled mightily in his third season after taking over for starting QB Aaron Rodgers, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tear minutes into his Jets debut.
As reported by Mary K. Jacob and Christian Arnold of the New York Post, Wilson is selling his townhome in Florham Park, New Jersey with a listed price of $950,000. The home has three bedrooms, two baths and garage space for two vehicles.
The Jets already signed veteran backup and journeyman Tyrod Taylor to fill the QB2 role, all but assuring that they’re moving on from Wilson. Taylor has 92 games and 58 career starts under his belt, going 28-28-1 as a starter with 65 touchdowns against 29 interceptions.

Wilson was one of several highly-touted QBs in the 2021 NFL Draft who hasn’t performed up to expectations at this point. The third overall pick of that class, Trey Lance, was traded from San Francisco to Dallas last offseason.
The Chicago Bears are expected to trade Justin Fields (the No. 11 pick) and use the top pick of 2024 on Caleb Williams. And just last week, the New England Patriots dealt Mac Jones (the No. 15 pick) to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fast forward three years later, and it looks like Trevor Lawrence (the No. 1 pick) will be the only one of these five quarterbacks still on the team that drafted him.
