The New York Jets have a big game today, as they travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers, in hopes of improving to 4-2 on the season and staying in the thick of the race for the AFC East title.
What fans may not know, however, as that this game has some extra significance for Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. You see, as a child he apparently looked up to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He and his father used to watch the four-time MVP closely on their television.
And now, Zach actually gets to take on his childhood idol.
Zach Wilson’s dad, Mike Wilson, took to Twitter to describe just how proud he was to see his son’s ‘dream come true.’
Wilson enters this contest having won each of his two starts this season — against the Steelers and Dolphins. He has 462 passing yards, one passing touchdown, one rushing touchdown, and two interceptions in those two victories.
He’ll face his toughest challenge yet when he takes on the 3-2 Packers, who should be hungry after blowing a lead against the Giants last week in London.
