For the time being, Zach Wilson is going to be the man once again under center for the New York Jets
The New York Jets are turning the page after Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending and are looking to Zach Wilson. Wilson played well enough to earn a win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, but it still wasn’t enough as one fan still tossed a bottle at him after the game.
Wilson will need to play much better to garner the respect of the fans, and one of his teammates is making sure they know they have his back.
Second-year running back Breece Hall shared a video of Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett giving Wilson their support. He delivered it with a message.
“We ALL believe in 2,” Hall said about Wilson.
The entire Jets offense was rebuilt around Rodgers during the offseason, so Wilson is likely going to have a tough time trying to produce.

Going forward, Wilson’s progress is by far the most vital factor in the team’s success. The Jets are praying that their former No. 2 overall pick can finally start showing signs of the talent that prompted the team to draft him so highly.
But after a year of learning under Aaron Rodgers, the Jets are optimistic that Wilson is a different quarterback than the one Jets fans got used to watching in the past.
New York selected Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft out of BYU, and he struggled to establish himself as the team’s clear starting quarterback over his first two seasons, going 8-14 as a starter.
Wilson completed 14 of his 21 passing attempts for 140 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the 22-16 overtime victory.
