The Cincinnati Bengals are experiencing a bit of déjà vu with how their season is starting this year. The team is in a major hole in the AFC North.
After their 27-24 loss to the Ravens, the Bengals now sit at 0-2 — just like they were at this point last season. However, something about this year feels much different. Cincinnati’s offense hasn’t had the juice so far this season and has struggled for the majority of the time that it has been on the field.
Burrow had 27-of-41 passing for 222 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. The fourth-year quarterback out of LSU missed nearly six weeks in the preseason with the strained right calf he suffered in the second practice of training camp.
Following an 0-2 start to the 2023 regular season, some are calling for the team to part ways with Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. Keep in mind, he has taken his team to back-to-back AFC Championship Game appearances as well as an appearance in the Super Bowl.

The Bengals, who lost both their games this season against divisional foes, also started 0-2 last year but rebounded with a return trip to the AFC title game.
I think that bit of history should give Zac Taylor time to right the ship before things get out of hand. Cincinnati would make history if they merely make the playoffs this season, as no team since 1990 has reached the playoffs in consecutive years after consecutive 0-2 starts.
The Bengals also have the assurance of having one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks who has won more playoff games than any other quarterback since the start of the 2021 season.
They need that guy to come out more than ever.
Things do not get any easier as they get set to face the Los Angeles Rams.
