Former New York Jets running back Zac Stacy is rightfully being blasted today after footage surfaced online of him brutally beating his ex-girlfriend in front of their child.
TMZ Sports obtained security video of the attack showing the woman being as calm as she could as Stacy throws her into a television stand and punches her. The woman has filed for an order of protection against Stacy, but it’s unclear if a restraining order was granted. In the application, she said she was hospitalized with bumps and bruises and a possible cut to the head.
“He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me,” the woman was quoted saying. “I fear for my life and my children’s lives.”
Online, one of Stacy’s former teammates, Chris Long, went on social media and blasted him for his actions while being in complete disbelief that somebody he used to play with could be doing stuff like this behind closed doors.
“Woke up to the Zac Stacy video,” Long tweeted on Thursday morning. “Made my stomach turn. Not retweeting. Crazy to play with someone for a couple years & you have no idea what kind of bulls*** they do at home.”

Stacy and Long were teammates on the St. Louis Rams for two seasons.
Stacy played college football at Vanderbilt before being drafted by the Rams and playing two seasons with them. He joined the Jets in 2015, but retired two years later.
His last dose of football action came in 2019 in the XFL as a member of the Memphis Express.
