On Friday, former NFL running back Zac Stacy was finally caught and arrested after a disturbing video emerged of Stacy appearing to assault the mother of their child. The 30-year-old is being charged with two felonies from the incident — aggravated assault (great bodily harm) and criminal mischief (greater than or equal to $1,000).
Unfortunately, his stay in jail wasn’t long as he bonded out of the Orange County jail Saturday following his arrest Thursday at Orlando International Airport. His bond was only $10,150.
His ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans, took to Twitter to show how frightened she is that he got such a low bond and is already free after what he did to her.
“zacstacy is going to be released on bond and I’m just at a loss for words. My rights to safety don’t matter, my life doesn’t matter, And you all wonder why victims don’t speak out?? I had video and that made no difference. Now my life is in imminent danger.”

A report shows the alleged victim reported multiple previous incidents from August and September, indicating that this was not the first time she claimed Stacy abused her. Police reportedly were called to the same residence on at least two occasions, the first for an alleged verbal dispute between Stacy and the woman and the second one involving a possible domestic violence incident.
The former Vanderbilt running back had been an ambassador for the TransPerfect Music City Bowl, but the bowl game cut ties with Stacy after the video went public.
Stacy played in the NFL from 2013-15 with the St. Louis Rams and New York Jets and also played professionally in the CFL and Alliance of American Football.
