Kristin Evans is not here for her former supporters to start attacking her. Evans advocated for mental health treatment rather than prison time on Tuesday, saying it would protect the son she shared with Zac Stacey from further “trauma.”
Former NFL player Zac Stacy was sentenced to six months in jail and one year of probation following a 2021 attack on his ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans. That terrible moment was caught on camera and shared with the world. The former St. Louis Rams player reportedly fled the state of Florida after an arrest warrant was issued as he tried to place blame on her in the aftermath.
Despite his sentencing and the pain he brought her, Evans spoke out in response to the sentencing on Instagram Tuesday morning, advocating for mental health treatment rather than jail time. Her followers who were rooting for her lashed out.
It caused her to respond with another video.
“You guys gave me support online and I appreciate that. But look at you now. You all have turned on me because I didn’t do what you thought was best.”
“I support survivors and their own choices on what they feel is the right balance for their life and family. Every individual is different and none of us walk the same path.

These comments are giving unresolved complex trauma and projection. If you’re giving an opinion that wasn’t asked for, it’s more about you than me. How you feel about me, has more to do with you than me.”
She continued on with an even more fiery video that she has since deleted.
“Y’all are giving very much hypocrisy… but I’m still here advocating for you and YOUR mental wellness too. Cuz that’s what’s important here. We have to raise the vibration of this society and some of y’all need a divine intervention.”
In December 2021, Evans was granted an injunction for protection against domestic violence, giving her a five-year window of safety from Stacy. There is also a no-contact clause, prohibiting communication until after the criminal case was resolved.
There is no word if the two of them will rekindle their relationship.
Based on the comments from followers, if something else were to happen, the same type of support online will not be the same.
