The United Football League is set to start this month as this will be the result of a merger between the USFL and the XFL which took four teams from each of those leagues for its first season.
The league is coming into the year with a megastar already on the roster.
YouTube sensation “Deestroying”, aka Donald De La Haye, has signed to play football in the UFL for the San Antonio Brahmas and is set to become the starting kicker.

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound social media star is credited with one extra point made in one attempt across two seasons for the University of Central Florida in 2015-16 as a kicker and receiver.
He became known in 2015 after he started his YouTube channel in 2015 which caused major backlash from the NCAA as he was breaking the rules by making money off his image as a college athlete. He would have to give up his YouTube channel to continue to play football, but he chose to quit football instead.

That was a wise decision as his channel has over 5 million subscribers. However, it did cost him his scholarship and NCAA eligibility. De La Haye sued UCF over this matter in July 2018 and settled to finish his education there.
The first game of the season for the Brahmas kicks off at the Alamodome against the D.C. Defenders on March 31 at 11 a.m.
The Brahmas compiled an overall record of 3–7 during their inaugural season, missing the playoffs in 2023.
