With CeeDee Lamb clearly wanting a contract that the Dallas Cowboys seem to have no interest in signing soon, there’s certainly a chance he could get traded before the regular season starts.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said regarding a Lamb extension, “I don’t have any urgency to get it done.” Lamb then responded with a simple “lol.”
That’s why Bleacher Report came up with a surprising trade proposal between the Cowboys and Green Bay Packers, with Dallas receiving Christian Watson, a 2025 first-round pick and a 2025 third-round pick. All the Packers would receive in return is Lamb.
He would be a great pickup for the Packers, who lack a major superstar receiver and instead have a lot of solid pieces. If you added Lamb’s 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns to that same group, it would become extremely lethal.
Though it seems like a hefty price, it would certainly give Green Bay one of the most high-powered offenses in the league between QB Jordan Love, RB Josh Jacobs, and then Lamb.

Spottrac has Lamb’s market value at $34 million a year, and if the Packers signed him to that kind of contract, its QB, RB, and WR trio would make a combined $101 million a year.
However, it’s still very unlikely he gets moved, but the idea of a trade is definitely something to keep in the back of your mind.
CeeDee Lamb Likely Looking for Record-Breaking Deal
Every year, we see a player hold out for a good portion of training camp or even the regular season in hopes of signing a new contract extension.
In this case, Lamb could be waiting for a deal that offers even more than newly signed Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, who will make $35 million a year under his four-year $140 million deal.
