Rob Gronkowski is back.
On Tuesday, the former NFL tight end made his return to the league when the New England Patriots agreed to trade him to his preferred destination, which was the Tampa Bay Bucs.
That begged the question of what would happen with his WWE career, because Gronkowski had recently signed with the company. Not only that, he hosted Wrestlemania and then won the 24/7 title.
Hours later, the WWE released a statement and said that Gronk will have to defend that title, even he’s on the football field celebrating a touchdown.
Hilarious.
