The 2023/24 NFL season is still six months away, with the dust hardly settled on Super Bowl 57, yet the worst bet of the season has already been placed.
While there’s going to be a bit of a wait, fans can place as many bets as they like, with plenty of odds already made available by the bookmakers, who have likely seen some ridiculous wagers placed.
Perhaps the most ridiculous of those won’t be beaten all season. A fan has chanced a $2 bet on Kenny Golladay winning the MVP award at odds of +100000 as if to say they wanted to make a small donation to Caesars.
Sure, it’s only two bucks, but why not just keep your money in your pocket?
It will take a remarkable turnaround for Golladay to be considered the best player on his team, let alone the league MVP. The wide receiver is considered to be one of the worst signings of recent times following his move to the New York Giants, who made him one of the NFL’s highest-paid players in his position with a four-year deal worth $72 million.
He still boasts the 18th-best WR contract right now but has only given the Giants a single touchdown in return, having made 43 catches for 602 yards over the last two years.

Golladay’s chances of winning MVP are well-nigh non-existent. That a sportsbook even offered odds on that is a mystery in itself.
