NFL fans aren’t so quick to believe this latest update on the fitness of Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson.
The nine-time Pro Bowler had an absolute stinker of a campaign in 2022 and it’s now been revealed that he’s gone under the knife in an attempt to fix an issue that has plagued him for several seasons.
Ian Rapoport revealed on Wednesday that the QB has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee due to an issue that had been nagging him over the last few years. It appears the procedure isn’t one which will keep the player off the field as Rapoport added that Wilson has been working out since having the surgery.
While there has been an outpouring of support for Wilson, some fans aren’t buying it and reckon it’s only an excuse for the player’s horrible first season with the Broncos.

In any case, 2023/24 will be make-or-break for both Wilson and the Broncos as they’ve given up quite a lot to put him in a position to succeed.
