Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Will Levis had to wait a lot longer than expected to hear his name get called at the 2023 NFL Draft.
Many scouts and analysts projected Levis to be a top-5 or 10 selection in this year’s draft. But in a shocker, the 23-year-old Levis wound up falling all the way down to the Tennessee Titans in the second round.
The Titans actually traded up at No. 33 overall to get the strong-armed Levis, who enjoyed two productive years with the Wildcats after transferring from Penn State.
Levis’ girlfriend, Gia Duddy, had a short and sweet response to the Titans’ selection of Levis. On her Instagram story, Duddy posted a photo of the popular Morgan Wallen’s song, “I Love Tennessee.” She used the caption “huge Tennessee fan” with two heart emojis.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel already stated that Ryan Tannehill will be the team’s starting quarterback come Monday, with 2022 second-rounder Malik Willis listed as the backup. Levis will be the third-stringer, at least for now.
