Will Levis and his girlfriend Gia Duddy are probably the most relieved couple in the U.S. right now, with the quarterback finally getting drafted on Friday night after unexpectedly slipping out of the first round.
Will, Gia, and his family pulled up to Thursday night’s first round of the NFL Draft as they all expected him to be a lottery pick. But they would only end up wasting their time, much to the former Kentucky star’s embarrassment as the television cameras put him on screen as often as they could.
The Tennessee Titans ended up taking the player 33rd overall in the second round on Friday night but he didn’t risk getting shamed again and stayed away, so he wasn’t present in the flesh when his dream came true.
Gia would later take to Instagram to post a graphic showing Levis in a Titans jersey, captioning it, “Let’s ride.”
A simple phrase, though probably ill-advised as it was the same one Russell Wilson used before going on to have the worst season of his career after joining the Denver Broncos.

Levis will have to battle Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis for the starting job in Tennessee, with head coach Mike Vrabel having already outlined the QB pecking order as things stand.
