Jones continued to dominate the hurdles scene, winning the 100-meter hurdles at the 2016 USA Junior Championships with a time of 12.84 seconds. This time tied the world junior record set by Aliuska López in 1987 and became the fastest time ever recorded by a 15-year-old in the event. More recently, in February 2024, Jones equaled the indoor 60m hurdles world record of 7.67 seconds at the USATF Indoor Championships.
