Being a cameraman in the NFL may seem like a cool gig. You get to go to a bunch of games from field-level while capturing some of the coolest shots that the game has to offer. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes you’re directly in the line of fire, and before you know it, wham!
Just ask this cameraperson who was working the end zone during today’s Eagles-WFT contest.
Following a missed pass connection in the endzone from quarterback Taylor Heinicke, Washington wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones couldn’t slow down his momentum and went crashing into a cameraman near the goal line, sending both men to the ground in pain.
Fox provided a replay of the incident, including a look at the view from the cameraman’s angle.
Seals-Jones needed to be loaded onto a board and carted off the field with a neck injury. No word yet on the condition of the cameraman. Hopefully both men are able to avoid serious injury after that frightening collision.
