Another veteran is leaving ESPN this summer amid a period which has seen multiple shocking exits.
Former ‘NFL Live’ host Wendi Nix is among those who have left the company this year, having announced as much on Instagram. Wendi, who had a 17-year-stint with The Worldwide Leader in Sports, is set to be replaced by Kelsey Riggs, per the New York Post.
The 48-year-old had also hosted ‘College Football Live’ on the network.
“Exactly 17 years ago, I walked into ESPN wide-eyed and excited,” she wrote on IG. “This week, I walk out the same way. Grateful, but equally excited about the next chapter. To be continued…”
The announcement prompted responses from several of Nix’s former colleagues.
“Amazing run, Wendi! Best of luck with whatever is next!” Field Yates wrote.

It appears Wendi already has something else lined up, though she did not reveal what that is.
She’s now among a list of notable sportscasters who have departed ESPN during the NFL offseason. The network’s football coverage will be very different moving forward.
