Another week. Another NFL team getting screwed by a terrible call.
The New Orleans Saints had just completed a red zone stand by intercepting Ryan Tannehill in the end zone. The Saints’ ferocious pass rush got to the Titans quarterback and forced him to throw up a prayer, which was hauled in by Saints defensive back PJ Willaims.
However, it seems the Saints pass rush was a little too ferocious for the officiating crew’s liking, because the interceptions was negated by an incredibly weak roughing the passer call.
Check this out:
That call was a costly one, as Ryan Tannehill would take advantage of the extra opportunity and run the ball in for a touchdown. That score gave Tennessee the 13-6 lead, but you can bet this bad call will be a topic of discussion on Monday — as these calls always seem to be on a weekly basis.
