We were one missed call away from having the New Orleans Saints take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, but refs had other ideas during the NFC Championship game.
Late in the 4th quarter, QB Drew Brees saw WR Tommylee Lewis opened for what could’ve been a huge gain, if not a touchdown. But Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman came in with an egregious early helmet-to-helmet hit that would knock Lewis off his feet and out of bounds before the ball arrived to him. No flag was thrown and the Saints would go on to lose.
We, at Total Pro Sports, decided to try that same play in Madden NFL Football by recreating the play, but turning the Pass interference slider ALL THE WAY DOWN.
The results came out much different as even the fake refs knew it was a pass interference.
