At some point, the pain of losing will subside for Chicago Bears fans, but for right now, the wound is still fresh and it still hurts.
Cody Parkey had everything in front of him as he stepped up to hit a game-winning field goal that would’ve sent the team to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Instead, he stepped up and committed a double-doink by hitting the ball off the upright and crossbar. It has since been revealed that the Eagles tipped that ball which caused it to go awry.
The wave of emotions wasn’t just felt at the game, but at the homes of Bears fans who wanted to record their emotions of Parkey hitting their FG.
Unfortunately for them, their happiness went away as soon as the refs signaled that he missed.
