The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off one of the greatest miracle wins the game of American Football has ever seen.
The Raiders and New England Patriots were tied 24 all with just three seconds remaining. Rhamondre Stevenson took a handoff from Mac Jones and ran the ball into Las Vegas territory. With Raiders defenders surrounding him, Stevenson lateraled the ball over to Jakobi Meyers.
Trying to keep the play alive, Meyers threw the ball back into the direction of Mac Jones, but just one problem: Ex-Patriot Chandler Jones was there waiting for the football, and the New England QB stood no chance of stopping the future Hall of Famer.
And you better believe that quarterback Derek Carr was just as stunned as everybody else. The video clip below from “Inside the NFL” shows Carr’s epic reaction to the Raiders’ stunning walk-off victory:
The Raiders have endured their fair share of heartbreaking losses here in 2022, and it looked like they were headed for another brutal defeat after squandering a 17-3 lead in the second half at home.
Stevenson’s 34-yard touchdown run with 3:43 remaining in the fourth put the Patriots ahead, but Carr found Keelan Cole for a beautiful 30-yard touchdown catch with 30 seconds remaining to seemingly force overtime.

But of course, the Raiders were able to take advantage of an uncharacteristic Patriots miscue which led to one of the craziest endings in NFL history. A fun side bonus? This marked the Raiders’ first win over New England since 2002.
With the victory, the Raiders improved their record to 6-8 on the season, keeping the very slim playoff hopes alive. The Patriots, on the other hand, fell to 7-7 and saw their postseason hopes take a giant blow. They’re now one game behind the Miami Dolphins and the Los Angeles Chargers for the two final wild card spots in the AFC.
