Cam Newton might not be wanted in Carolina any longer, but there seems to be at least two teams out there that have interest.
On Tuesday, the Carolina Panthers basically sent out there farewell to cam as they allowed Cam’s agent to seek a trade to another franchise. It did not take long for other teams to come calling.
The Bears have had recent discussions with Carolina about a potential Newton trade, Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports.
The Bears publicly committed to Mitchell Trubisky as their starting quarterback for 2020, but other reports suggests that they are definitely in the mix to looking for another QB. They reportedly spoke with Teddy Bridgewater before he chose carolina, not to mention that even players on the team were campaigning to get another QB.
On Wednesday, the Bears took themselves out of that discussion when they traded for Nick Foles.

ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported that the Washington Redskins have also discussed the potential of adding Newton as well.
Their new head coach Ron Rivera was Newton’s head coach in Carolina and past reports suggest the team is not really sold on having Dwayne Haskins being the main man behind center.
Newton will earn around $19 million in the final year of his contract next season.
