Kyle Allen left the field Sunday on a cart after suffering a gruesome leg injury against the New York Giants. The Washington starting quarterback was trying to roll out of the pocket, but his calf/ankle was hit hard and turned in a way that ankle aren’t suppose to do on a human body.
After the game, Allen posted an Instagram picture of himself being taken off the field, thanking fans for their support in the wake of his injury.
“Just want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support today. This is the unfortunate part of the game we play, but there’s no adversity you can’t overcome!!
I promise I’ll be back stronger, and better because of it…
Loved every second of my first year in Washington, I can’t wait for more!”
Peppers was penalized for roughing the passer, but Washington coach Ron Rivera didn’t have an issue.
“I don’t think it’s a dirty play,” Rivera said after a 23-20 loss.
