Two women have filed a lawsuit against NFL kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars for allegedly being sexually assaulted during the team’s trip to London last season.
The two defendants in the case, which was filed on Friday in Duval County Circuit Civil Court, contend that McManus grinded and rubbed against them.
Via ESPN‘s Michael DiRocco:
“According to the lawsuit, the two women worked as flight attendants on the Jaguars’ Sept. 28, 2023, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings charter flight, and they allege the flight ‘quickly turned into a party’ as McManus and several other players disregarded the flight attendants’ personal space, air travel safety, and federal law,” DiRocco reported. “The lawsuit also claims that McManus recruited three other flight attendants to the party and passed out $100 bills to encourage them to drink and dance inappropriately for him.”
One woman, identified as Jane Doe I, alleged that Brandon McManus attempted to kiss her and was “twice grinding up against her while she was serving the flight’s two meal services.” The other woman, Jane Doe II, also alleged McManus “grinded up against her” and “smirked and walked away” when she confronted him.
The woman claims that since the claimed instances, they have experienced “severe mental anguish” in addition to other mental health problems, and they have been fired from their position working on the Jaguars’ charter aircraft. They are requesting damages of about $1 million.
