After spending just two seasons in the NFL, Antonio Gandy-Golden has decided to hang up cleats for good.
Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera informed reporters on Thursday that Gandy-Golden is retiring and heading back to school. The 24-year-old was selected by Washington in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Gandy-Golden converted from wide receiver to tight end during this offseason.
Washington released Gandy-Golden coming out of the preseason in the second year of that deal and later re-signed him to their practice squad.
