Von Miller will return to play football in 2022, but it may be a couple of weeks before he returns.
It’s been days since the Buffalo Bills beat the Detroit Lions in dramatic fashion on Thanksgiving Day. But the win in Detroit didn’t come without major concerns for the organization and the fan base.
Von Miller suffered a knee injury in the second quarter that resulted in him getting carted off to the locker room. Reports since then indicate that Miller avoided a torn ACL, which is something he confirmed on Tuesday.
“The news is not the best of news, but it’s definitely not the worst of news. It’s kinda like in the middle,” Miller said on “The Von Cast,” on Tuesday. “I didn’t tear my ACL; that was the huge part of it. I do have some lateral meniscus damage, and it’s going to have to be addressed. But I do feel like I can play through that.”
“(I’m) just going to wait a little bit and let the swelling go down for about seven to 10 days,” Miller said. “And hopefully right before the Jets game, I will be back.”

The Bills are 8-3 and this week play a Thursday game at the 6-5 New England Patriots. While he will be missed for this game, the team will need him more when they take on the surging New York Jets who seem to be a different team after benching Zach Wilson and starting backup QB Mike White in his place.
Miller has played a key role on the defense as he has recorded eight sacks, 21 tackles, and 10 tackles for loss in 11 games.
