Von Miller is going to miss several weeks of the NFL season.
The Bills will not have star edge rusher Von Miller to begin the season as he is still recovering from his ACL tear suffered during the Thanksgiving game against the Lions. Miller will remain on the physically unable-to-perform list on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
That means he won’t be eligible to return until the team is headed out of the country to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
Miller will be sidelined for Buffalo’s season-opening games against the Jets, Raiders, Commanders, and Dolphins.
While he won’t start the season on the active roster, Miller has been making strides in his recovery. Bills general manager Brandon Beane told reporters back in late July Miller was in a “great spot.”
“We’re going to take it slowly with him,” Beane said, “and make sure he’s truly ready to get back.”

Prior to the injury, Mille showed he was a force to be reckoned with during the 2022 season’s first 11 games. The two-time world champion and Super Bowl 50 MVP had eight sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble while helping the Bills get off to an 8-3 start.
Miller signed a five-year deal with Buffalo last year after winning Super Bowl LVI with the Rams. The 34-year-old is entering the second year of that $120 million deal.
