The Los Angeles Chargers suffered a tough defeat at home Monday when they lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 20-17.
That became a footnote as a Chargers fan went viral during Monday night’s game. ESPN cameras showed her going through all the emotions during a fourth-quarter TD by Los Angeles that tied up the game and then she was seen looking very sad after Justin Herbert threw an interception in the final minutes to seal the loss.
That fan’s name is Merianne Do, and she went so viral that her favorite team changed its X profile picture to her face. On Tuesday, the team confirmed she’s a real deal fan who has season tickets with her husband, Tuan Pham.
The lady clearly loves her team, but social media did some investigating and found that she actually used to be a die-hard fan of the Minnesota Vikings. We know this because a picture surfaced of her in full gear for the team that was complete with team colors on her face.
As it turned out, she told Pat McAfee she became a Chargers fan when they moved to LA in 2017.

That is still a little weird as not many fans are changing their allegiance to a team just because they moved somewhere else.
Even still, it’s a free country and she can do what she wants. She did not ask ESPN to make her the face of the game, but her reactions were just too good as she cheered on her new team.
