You’d think that Merrianne Do, the Chargers fan who went viral this week, had been supporting the team all her life. But, as she’s been made to reveal, that isn’t the case.
Do has been trending on social media as a result of her wild reactions during Monday’s game against the Cowboys, as well as the theory that she’s a paid actor. The latter has since been debunked as Merrianne and her husband are now known to be season ticket holders and she really is a die-hard Chargers fan. Turns out she’s a Vikings fan too…
A photo showing Merrianne in Vikings gear and face paint started doing the rounds online after her newfound fame. But plenty of fans have since come to her defense, with Boston Connor of ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ also speaking out.

Do told TMZ she grew up in Minnesota and moved to California in the early 2000s. She says she’s still a Vikings fan but loves the Chargers.
“I grew up in Minnesota before moving to California almost 20 years ago,” she told the publication. “I don’t think you have to be a single-team fan. I love my Chargers and I’m not gonna deny my Vikings. At the end of the day, yes, I’ve been a Vikings fan, I’ve been through that journey as a Vikings fan and still am, but I’m here in LA for the past 20 years.”
