Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson won his matchup against New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore on Sunday, and it wasn’t exactly a contest.
According to Pro Football Focus, Jefferson racked up seven catches on 10 targets for 93 yards against the Saints’ superstar corner. This included a 39-yard reception late in the fourth quarter to set up Greg Joseph’s game-winning field goal.
Jefferson’s big day propelled Minnesota to victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London England, the NFL’s first International Series game of 2022.
Jefferson trolled Lattimore on Instagram by posting several photos of him winning his battles with Lattimore. In the caption, Jefferson wrote, “Ain’t no question, im the answer!”
If you go to the last image in the post, you’ll see the image of Allen Iverson’s unforgettable step over of Tyronn Lue during the 2001 NBA Finals. Iverson, of course, was also nicknamed “The Answer”.”
Lattimore has been one of the NFL’s best shut down corners since arriving into the league five years ago. But even the best of the very best have their days off, and Sunday was such a case for Lattimore.

Jefferson finished the day with 10 receptions for 147 yards and one rushing touchdown. The Vikings won 28-25 to improve their record to 3-1 on the year, while the Saints fell to 1-3 on the young season.
Through the first four games of the 2022 season, Jefferson has 28 catches for 393 yards and two touchdowns. Sunday’s game marked a huge bounce-back game for Jefferson after he was limited to just nine total catches for a combined 62 yards in his previous two outings.
Jefferson and the Vikings now return home for a Week 5 showdown against the NFC North Chicago Bears. The Saints will try to get back on track when they welcome the Seattle Seahawks at the Caesars Superdome.
