The Minnesota Vikings are sick right now.
In the second half of their game against the San Francisco 49ers, Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook got tackled hard by the Niners’ Kevin Givens. The impact was so hard that it knocked the ball loose and left Cook on the ground in pain.
Cook would remain on the turf for a while as the Vikings’ medical team attended to him. The cart would eventually come out and he was eventually ruled out for the game with a shoulder injury.
Players from both teams gathered around the injured running back and took a knee as they awaited word on his status. It’s clear that Cook is one of the more respected players around the league, based on the response from both sides.
