The Minnesota Vikings-Buffalo Bills Week 10 thriller will most certainly go down as the best NFL regular season game of 2022.
In a battle of two of the league’s elite squads, the Vikings narrowly outlasted the Bills at Orchard Park in an epic back-and-forth affair. Minnesota erased a 17-point deficit and won 33-30 in overtime, with Patrick Peterson sealing the game by picking off Josh Allen in the red zone.
Longtime Vikings radio announcer Paul Allen is known for his extremely passionate and boisterous calls in the booth. And as one could expect, Allen certainly had a field day calling Minnesota’s thrilling win in Buffalo.
On Wednesday, the Vikings released a two-minute video showing Allen’s reactions on the biggest plays in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime. Needless to say, Allen was once again at his very best here.
Allen became more well-known across the football world when he blasted Brett Favre for throwing a costly interception in the 2009 NFC Championship Game (“You can take a knee and try a 56-yard field goal! This is not Detroit man, this is the Super Bowl!”)
Sunday marked the Vikings’ seventh straight win, and they improved their record to 8-1 on the year. With the Philadelphia Eagles falling to the Washington Commanders on Monday night, the Vikings and Philly are now tied for the NFL’s best record at 8-1. However, the Eagles own the head-to-head tiebreaker thanks to their 24-7 victory over the Vikings in Week 2.

A tough three-game home stretch awaits the Vikings following their big win over Buffalo. They’ll host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday before welcoming the New England Patriots in the third Thanksgiving Thursday game. After that, they’ll play host to the surprising 6-3 New York Jets.
But barring a second-half unraveling of historic proportions, the Vikings are poised to win their first NFC North division title since 2017.
