Stefon Diggs is back with the Minnesota Vikings following an absence this week.
The talented wide receiver came back to the team this week, but with a much lighter wallet.
ESPN reported that the Vikings levied heavy fines against Diggs for his unexcused absences this week.
“The Minnesota Vikings have fined wide receiver Stefon Diggs more than $200,000 for unexcused absences from practices and meetings, sources told ESPN.
Diggs missed all team meetings Monday and Tuesday as well as two practices, but he is expected to be active Sunday when the Vikings visit the New York Giants, according to sources.”
Ian Rapoport added that the team did not void the $40 million in guaranteed money in Diggs’ contract.
When asked about the trade demand rumors, he said “all rumors” have some truth to them.

“I feel there’s truth to all rumors no matter how dress you it up. I won’t be saying nothing on it. I won’t be speaking on it at all. But there is truth to all rumors, I guess.’’ Diggs said.
“The space that we’re in right now is definitely is a lot of questions,” Diggs added. “I can’t sit up here and act like everything is OK because obviously it’s not but I can say at this point I’m just trying to work through it.”
The franchise, however, remains adamant about not trading him anywhere despite “multiple teams” reaching out to Minnesota.
The 24-year-old has caught 13 passes for 209 yards receiving and one touchdown so far during the 2019 season.
