The Tubi commercial that aired during the Super Bowl was likely one of the most talked about ads because of how genius it was.
Against the backdrop of the NFL’s biggest game of the year, advertisers try their best to be the most talked about commercial while the game is at a pause. Tubi certainly did that.
The streaming service Tubi had everyone questioning where their TV remotes were when its 2023 Super Bowl ad aired Sunday. In the 15-second spot, it appeared that the Super Bowl LVII broadcast returned from a commercial break with Fox Sports announcers, Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen.
However, it appeared as if someone had taken over the screen by scrolling over to the Tubi TV app and searching through the streaming services’ library for something to watch.
In the video’s caption on YouTube, Tubi wrote, “No, you didn’t sit on the remote. But on Super Bowl Sunday, we fooled audiences into thinking they did.”
We now have videos showing that many people got fooled.
