Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn has clearly made it known that the team will be selecting a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft and he even pointed to his guy.
The Washington Commanders are widely expected to take a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, and LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels has been the most notable name connected to the franchise for weeks.
As is typically the case, the LSU pro day was a star-studded affair, and this year it was Jayden Daniels as the star of the show. The current Heisman Trophy winner did not take part in exercises at the NFL Scouting Combine, so scouts got their first glimpse of him since LSU’s regular-season conclusion. Daniels, however, chose to concentrate solely on throwing during LSU’s Pro Day and skipped all other athletic testing routines.
Once his Pro Day was over, it was time for Daniels to speak to reporters.
While speaking to an NFL reporter, cameras panned over to Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn who could be seen pointing at the quarterback and smiling as he was seemingly saying that he was their guy.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, who was honored with the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, is one of the top incoming college quarterbacks who are expected to be selected in the top 5 of the NFL Draft to QB-needy teams. One of those teams is the Washington Commanders.
Should the Washington commanders go with him, they should know they are getting a player who threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns in 2023 while also showing off his dual-threat abilities and racking up 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Just the previous year in 2022, Daniels threw for 2,913 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 885 yards and 11 touchdowns, and caught one receiving touchdown, via ESPN.com.
