Football fans are convinced that Justin Jefferson hinted at wanting out of Minnesota following the Vikings’ ugly playoff loss on Monday night.
The 14-3 Vikings were humiliated 27-9 by the Los Angeles Rams in their Monday night clash at State Farm Stadium, extending the organization’s playoff win drought to five years. Justin Jefferson was limited to five catches for 58 yards in the loss.
After the game, X/Twitter user @titletownforty noticed that Jefferson gave the “peace” sign as he exited his way to the Vikings’ locker room:

So naturally, some folks are taking that as a sign that Justin Jefferson wants out of Minnesota. Here’s how some folks on social media reacted:
“Imagine if he became a bengal and reunited with Chase and Burrow and they still missed the playoffs with Burrow throwing 66TDs,” one fan wrote.

Of course, chances are that Justin Jefferson was simply sending a peace sign to the many Vikings fans in attendance. The ESPN broadcast led by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman stated that there were Minnesota supporters than Rams fans in attendance.
Jefferson signed a lucrative four-year contact extension with Minnesota worth $140 million before the start of the season. If he didn’t want to stay in Minny long-term, the 2020 first-round pick would have sought a trade, knowing that another team would have happily paid him top dollar.
Justin Jefferson Had Another Excellent Season In 2024
The 25-year-old Jefferson racked up 103 receptions for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024, helping Sam Darnold enjoy a career year that will likely culminate in Comeback Player of the Year honors.
Jefferson has now crossed the 60-catch and 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first five NFL seasons. The numbers he put up this year were especially impressive considering that JJ had to share the ball with Jordan Addison, TJ Hockenson and Cam Akers.
