It’s never too early to give your Super Bowl prediction, but some tend to wait until after the NFL Draft to do so.
Skip Bayless is not waiting until next month as his confidence is sky-high that the Baltimore Ravens are headed to the big game. He based his prediction on this after the team signed veteran running back Derrick Henry.
One year after reportedly attempting to acquire him via trade, the Baltimore Ravens have finally secured Derrick Henry as he gets $16 million and can earn a maximum of $20 million over the two-year deal due to incentives.
“This was a win the Super Bowl move for the Baltimore Ravens. I’m going to go right out on the end of the limb and pick them to win next year’s Super Bowl,” Bayless said. “This young man – I know he’s 30, but he’s young to me because he’s freakish – I don’t know if I’ve seen anything quite like Derrick Henry. He’s shattering the running back mold.”
While Henry is aging with more than 2,000 carries already under his belt, the two-time All-Pro has remained one of the NFL’s best ball carriers in recent years. Along with topping 1,000 rushing yards in five of his last six years, the former Offensive Player of the Year has never averaged fewer than 4.2 yards per carry, and he also led the NFL in yards after contact in 2023, per Pro Football Focus.
