Saquon Barkley has revealed his daughter Jada’s hilarious reaction to his recent Eagles move.
The former Giants running back will be playing his football in Philadelphia in 2024, having left their NFC rivals in free agency.
The city has welcomed him with open arms and Eagles fans are thrilled with the prospect of having one of the best RBs in the NFL represent them. But it appears his daughter might be the happiest of the bunch.
The two-time Pro Bowler discussed his five-year-old’s reaction to the switch in a car interview released by the Eagles on Wednesday. Barkley claimed his daughter suggested they would “win now” in what was an innocent dig at the Giants on the back of his deal with Philly.

“My daughter, funny story with her, she knows there’s a lot of history with the Eagles,” he recalled. “I remember one time when I was with the Giants and we lost to Philly in the playoffs, we went to a diner to get some breakfast and [there was a bird] and she points to the bird and says ‘It’s the Eagles, it’s the Eagles.’”
“So when I told her that we were going to Philly, she was like ‘Does that mean we’re gonna win now?’
“I just started smiling and said, ‘Hopefully, hopefully we’re gonna win some more games.’”

The Eagles Believe In Saquon Barkley
Barkley, who has his roots in Pennsylvania, having grown up in Whitehall Township and played for Penn State, will hope to make the Eagles as formidable as they were when they went to the Super Bowl a little over a year ago.
His deal with the Eagles should keep him around for three years and is worth $37.75 million. That sum is quite telling in itself as Philadelphia GM Howie Roseman has a reputation for low-balling running backs. It appears the team believes he could have a significant impact under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
The Eagles have ranked in the bottom 10 in spending on running backs in each of the last four seasons yet have handed Barkley a contract that pays him more per year than any other RB in team history.
He’s also got $26 million guaranteed despite the concerns over his history with injuries.
The Giants, meanwhile, never made an offer. According to the player, he set a goal of getting the most guaranteed money possible for himself and credited his agent, Edward Berry, with helping him reach it.
