CJ Stroud has always been a good guy.
The current Houston Texans quarterback is being praised again this week after a resurfaced video showed the then-Ohio State quarterback rewarding his teammates thanks to the endorsements he had been able to earn.
Stroud surprised each of his teammates with gift cards for suits to wear before the Buckeyes opened the 2022 season against Notre Dame.
The video showed CJ Stroud surprising his teammates with the announcement of the $500 Express gift cards after a practice.
“I just wanted to do something for the team, so I got everybody $500 gift cards to go to Express and get your own suits,” Stroud said. “Make sure you’re looking fly. Make sure we all look like a team.”
Stroud inked a deal to endorse Columbus-based fashion retailer Express in April of that year.

His generosity hasn’t stopped since being drafted by the Houston Texans.
CJ Stroud pledged a significant sum to THE Foundation, and they announced he is an Official Founders Club Platinum Donor, meaning he contributed between $50,000 and $100,000.
He also became the first former student-athlete partner to become a major donor and follow the “pay it forward” mantra.
CJ Stroud Has The Houston Texans In First Place
The Houston Texans duo of C.J. Stroud and Nico Collins continuously connect through the air and they have the team with a 3-1 record and leading the AFC South.
The 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has 1,054 passing yards, six touchdowns, two interceptions, 98.4 passer rating, and 41 rushing yards through four games.
The Houston Texans squeaked out a 24-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4, but they will need to be much better if they are to defeat the incoming Buffalo Bills.
