Peyton Manning was visibly repulsed by a questionable play call by the Philadelphia Eagles in their stunning Week 2 home loss to the Atlanta Falcons on “Monday Night Football.”
Along with younger brother Eli, Peyton Manning co-hosted another edition of the “ManningCast” on ESPN2 and ESPN+. Former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is the special guest for the game’s conclusion.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles were clinging to a three-point lead with less than two minutes ago, needing three yards for a first down to ice the game. Hurts threw a short pass to an open Saquon Barkley, but the star running back dropped the ball and kept Atlanta’s hopes alive.
And Peyton Manning’s reaction really said it all:
So instead of icing the game, the Eagles gave Atlanta a big break by stopping the clock with 1:42 left. Philly had to settle on a short field goal to increase their lead to six, giving Kirk Cousins and the visitors plenty of time to win the game.
Cousins put together a masterful six-play, 70-yard drive that only took up 1:05 and culminated in a game-winning touchdown to star wide receiver Drake London. On the ensuing drive, Jessie Bates III picked off Hurts to seal the game.

Peyton Manning Delivered The Perfect Reaction In The Moment
Peyton Manning’s reaction to the Barkley drop suggests that even The Sheriff figured at that point that the visitors were about to pull off the thrilling comeback win.
Manning doesn’t show bias when he co-hosts his popular show with Eli. But as a former quarterback who won two Super Bowls and claimed five MVP awards, it obviously drives him crazy when teams fail to execute routine plays that prove costly, just like this Barkley drop on Monday night.
