Patrick Mahomes trained on Wednesday following Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid disclosing the quarterback had gone through the day’s walkthrough and would be participating in afternoon practice.
Well, a video has since emerged that shows the quarterback stretching and jogging while also suggesting his ankle is good to go ahead of the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
The Chiefs will be facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday in the hopes of returning to their first Super Bowl since 2020, while their opponents will look to make it two outings in as many years.
Mahomes sustained a high ankle sprain, courtesy of a tackle during the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, and there are fears he might miss Sunday’s showdown.
