A new video has surfaced of a much happier and more upbeat Bryce Young speaking to Andy Dalton during the Carolina Panthers’ Week 4 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bryce Young has good reason to be upset about his benching, which came after the Panthers’ humiliating 26-3 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. But the first-overall pick of 2023 has handled the entire saga professionally while watching Dalton bring a much-needed jolt to the offense.
A new mic’d up video shows a cheerful Young talking to Dalton during Sunday’s frustrating loss to the Red Rifle’s former team. Young can be heard informing Dalton they can get back in the game with a blocked field goal and “a vintage, classic Andy Dalton minute-twenty drive.”
Check out the video of their awesome interaction below:
Bryce Young threw for only 245 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions while taking six sacks in the Panthers’ first two games. Dalton had a tremendous outing in Carolina’s Week 3 36-22 road win over the Las Vegas Raiders, tossing 319 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

The veteran signal-caller had a less-than-stellar outing in Week 4 against Joe Burrow and the Bengals, throwing for just 220 yards on 40 pass attempts for two touchdowns and one interception.
Carolina will try to move to 2-3 on the year when they visit Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
Bryce Young’s Future With Carolina Is Up In The Air
Since the Bengals decided to go with Dalton, Bryce Young’s name has been widely mentioned in trade rumors. There aren’t any indicators that GMDan Morgan is actively shopping Young, but there is a difficult decision that must be made soon.
Does Carolina keep trying to fix Young, whom they sold the farm for in the 2023 blockbuster trade with Chicago? Or do they cut their losses, trade him and look for a new QB in the 2025 NFL Draft? It’s an interesting dilemma that must be resolved in the coming months.
