Caleb Williams has gotten the internet to take notice with one of his throws from practice.
The Chicago Bears made the former USC Trojans star the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft last month and are looking forward to seeing what he can do for them on the field when next season comes around.
In the meantime, they’re getting a first-hand look at him during OTAs and appear to be impressed with what they’ve seen so far.
The team took to Twitter/X this Wednesday, posting a video of the quarterback scrambling to his left before springing off his back foot to make an incredible pass to tight end Gerald Everett.
The video, captioned “Droppin dimes,” had garnered close to 300,000 views within two hours, with over 4,000 people liking it and over 900 reposting it.

“His ability to throw on the run is so tuff,” an X user commented.
Another wrote, “That’s My QB1.”
Some Fans Pointed Out something Else About Caleb Williams’ Passing
Several fans reckon such cross-body throws don’t work in the NFL and will get intercepted every time.
“That’s getting picked in a real game lol,” a fan noted.
“That “jump cross-body throw” is going to get him in a lot of trouble in the league,” another agreed.
“That’s not going to work in the games,” another user remarked. “Caleb is going to be up there with JaMarcus Russell in terms of bust candidates.”
There’s hardly any doubting Caleb Williams’ ability. He showed the Bears more than enough while at USC and would have likely won more games had the Trojans put a better defense out on the field.
Of course, success in college doesn’t always mean success in the NFL, but things look promising.
