The NFL is known for having elite athletes. Some of the best players of all time include Tom Brady, Ray Lewis, and Michael Irvin. The ladder of the list played in the league from the late 80s through the 90s, and he was indeed one of the greatest.
Many NFL fans will take advice from a legend on how to work to make it to the big leagues. Some players will advise on how to eat and train, and others even offer advice on how to learn the game.
Irvin is no regular legend, and this recent video caught one of the many reasons. The former Dallas Cowboys receiver was caught on video preaching about being in a relationship, and it is safe to say the NFL great may have a strong stance on the subject.
In the video, Irvin points out that when people preach the single life, they usually talk and praise the nights they are out on the now. “They ain’t tell you bout them f*cking lonely nights,” Irvin says while laughing hysterically.
Michael Irvin Convinced Every “Good Man” Need An Anchor
The 58-year-old former NFL superstar also said, “If we all be honest, we need a good anchor,” about the women in his life. NFL fans had many things to say about the video of the Hall of Famer getting honest about how he views things.

One fan agreed with the 12-year NFL veteran, commenting that he probably spent fewer nights alone than the average guy. He added, “Even if he thinks it’s overrated, he might have some merit in his argument” about Irvin believing that being single is overrated.
A New York Giants fan also commented on the post, pointing out that he hated Irvin when he played, but now that the former on-field terror is retired, he’s a likable guy. If we’re being honest, it’s kind of hard to disagree with him.
After all is said and done, many people may disagree with the former Super Bowl champion, but the legacy he left speaks for itself, as Irvin is one of the best players to ever suit up. This is not only for the Cowboys franchise but also for the league.
