Fans did not enjoy Caleb Williams’ victory celebration after the Chicago Bears beat the Los Angeles Rams at home on Sunday.
The rookie quarterback hasn’t quite settled into his role as a starting NFL signal-caller after entering the league as the No. 1 overall draft pick earlier this year. He had a quiet game against L.A. this weekend, throwing for 157 yards and a touchdown, but he did avoid turning the ball over after getting picked twice in his previous outing.
“Obviously when you don’t have two turnovers, that’s the most important thing,” he said after the win, per ESPN. “When you have a defense like us, you have a punter and a kicker like we have, you’re not turning the ball over, it goes a long way. You’re going to win a lot of games.”
Caleb Williams Called A “Cringe Machine” After His Celebration
The former USC star was pretty elated while leaving Soldier Field in the wake of a victory that saw Chicago move to 2-2 and jumped in celebration while fans cheered him on. But social media didn’t think it looked cool at all.
“He’s a walking cringe machine,” a user wrote.

“That man said yippie yippie,” said a second.
“my little zesty boy,” a third commented.
“Yay, we all get juice boxes!! WTF🤣🤣🤣,” someone joked.
“When you get an A on the group project but did nothing to contribute,” another fan wrote.
“Why’s he hopping like that,” a user asked.
Caleb Williams won’t care a lick, though, and will likely be hyped over the win for the next few days.
Meanwhile, the Bears will look forward to another two home games against the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars before heading to Washington to face rookie sensation Jayden Daniels and the Commanders.
