We might not ever see a quarterback like Tom Brady, who won as many Super Bowls as he did and played beyond the age of 40.
Despite his illustrious career, Tom Brady’s NFL career seemed to have a few blemishes he wishes he could change.
When speaking on “The Pivot Podcast” with Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder, Brady said he wished he had more fun on the field.
“What I would have changed was, OK , there’s part of me that still loves … You see these young players. I see, like, Patrick [Mahomes] out there at quarterback, laughing, having fun,” Brady said in the recently resurfaced clip. “I’m like, ‘I used to be like that!’ What the hell happened to me? I just got too serious.”
Tom Brady spent the bulk of his career being coached by head coach Bill Belichick, so he and the many other players seemed robotic when it came to playing under him. It was always about winning and nothing else.
Belichick barely smiled, and so did all of his players.

Fans had a lot to say about Brady having so much regret:
Brady seemed to loosen up just a bit during his short tenure with the Tampa Bay Bucs, but now he can truly show himself as he enters the broadcast booth for the 2024 NFL season.
“You just learn from it, and go, ‘OK, now next phase of life, enjoy it a little more,’” Brady said.
Despite retiring after the 2022 season, Brady has not really sat down and enjoyed retirement as he made his Fox Sports broadcasting debut during the UFL championship, got inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, and was roasted at a Netflix special.
Former Teammate Le’Veon Bell Reacts To Tom Brady’s Lone Regret
Former running back Le’Veon Bell knows what it is like to play alongside Tom Brady. He shared the backfield with him when they played for the Bucs.
On “The Pivot Podcast,” Brady expressed regret that he was too serious during his time in the league.
Bell expressed why he believed a less serious version of Tom Brady would have won less had he had more fun.
“That why you got 7 of them thangs tho my guy,” Bell tweeted.
