NFL fans are having a field day teeing off on Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs after a fan posted a reel of him getting destroyed in coverage by Detroit Lions wideout Jameson Williams.
In the Lions’ 47-9 blowout win over the Cowboys, Jameson Williams caught three passes for 76 yards. This included a 37-yard touchdown in the third quarter with the All-Pro corner in coverage.
The popular @nflmatchuphighlights TikTok account posted a reel of Williams torching Diggs in coverage. The video featured Williams’ celebrations after the receptions and a clip of a frustrated Diggs seemingly saying, “I can’t even catch up.”

In Diggs’ defense, none of the Cowboys’ other defensive players really showed up against the Lions. Superstar linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence and All-Pro DaRon Bland (he has yet to play this season) were all inactive in Week 6, too.
Bland emerged as one of the league’s top corners after Diggs suffered a season-ending ACL tear early last year. Bland, who might have managed to limit Jameson Williams in Week 6, remains on the IR after suffering a stress fracture.
The Lions will try to improve to 5-1 on the year when they visit the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The Cowboys are on a much-needed Week 7 bye, and then they’ll return to action against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8.
Jameson Williams Is Having A Breakout Year For Lions
Injuries and a suspension for gambling last year limited Williams to 18 games over his first two NFL seasons. But the Alabama product has stayed healthy and is enjoying a career year in Motor City, with 16 receptions for 365 yards and three touchdowns.
At this rate, Williams should easily cross the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career and shed the “bust” label that many prematurely assigned to him.
