Did the 49ers steal a play from the Colorado Buffaloes?
That is what a post on X is suggesting that happened.
On Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes were taking on the Kansas Jayhawks and hoping to continue on their winning ways. Unfortunately, they found themselves down by double-digits in the fourth quarter when they pulled out a genius play.
The play started with Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders handing the ball to LaJohntay Wester, who then flipped it to Travis Hunter, who then flipped it to Sanders, who finally threw it to LaJohntay Wester, who racked up a ton of yards before he was finally tackled.
Less than 24 hours later, the 49ers would run the same exact play as quarterback Brandon Allen handed the ball off to Deebo Samuel, who then flipped it to Ricky Pearsall, who then flipped it back to Brandon Allen, who finally passed it to Deebo Samuel.
Just like LaJohntay Wester, Deebo Samuel also racked up some yards behind a wall of blockers before he was taken down.

The San Francisco 49ers Are Dead Last In The NFC West
The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with a bevy of injuries that have interrupted their 2024 campaign.
The banged-up Niners suffered a blowout loss to the Packers on Sunday, and their playoff outlook is becoming more bleak.
The 49ers are 5-6 through 11 games after suffering a 38-10 loss at the hands of the Packers on Sunday.
Luckily for them, nobody is running away from the division, so they have time to get back in it. However, racking up more losses is now helping.
