On Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers are squaring off at Lucas Oil Stadium. Unfortunately, during the first quarter, Anthony Richardson had to leave the game due to a hip injury.
It looked like it came on a QB option when Richardson tried to run the ball into the endzone from the six-yard line. He would take a very awkward slide before being wrapped up by a defender.
He would try to tough it out for a few plays, but the young quarterback needed to be pulled out before it got worse. Richardson has officially been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Many NFL fans are now calling out the Colts’ coaching staff for putting Richardson in a bad situation, which is why he got hurt.
“The choice seems reckless, ultimately leading to him getting hurt again and leaving the game, raising concerns about player safety and decision-making,” said one comment.
“They’ve actively been trying to get him hurt the last 2 years… it’s nuts …ive never seen a team call so many qb runs when there is absolutely 0 need at the time to do it,” said another.

“Some organizations just don’t have a clue it seems. Or they don’t care. Not sure which is worse,” continued a third.
Of course, Richardson only appeared in three games last year after suffering a season-ending AC joint sprain injury.
Anthony Richardson Is Having A Poor 2024 Season
Even when healthy, Richardson hasn’t been too impressive.
As of now, he has completed 36 of 73 passes for 583 yards, three touchdowns, four interceptions, and a 55.9 passer rating.
Hopefully, his recent injury isn’t too serious, and he can come back playing better for the sake of Colts fans everywhere.
