Former NFL running back Terrell Davis was recently put in handcuffs and escorted off a United Airlines flight after interacting with a flight attendant.
Last week, 5, the 51-year-old former Denver Broncos running back stated how his son’s request for a cup of ice from a flight attendant led to the football player being escorted off of a United Airlines flight from Denver to Orange County.
This week, TMZ Sports has got ahold of footage that shows Terrell Davis being escorted off the plane.
The recorded clip shows passengers questioning why he was being removed. Davis’s wife, Tamiko Nash, can be seen standing up and interacting with the agents before he is placed in handcuffs and escorted off the plane for questioning.
Davis, who played running back for the Denver Broncos from 1995 to 2001, wrote a long Instagram post on Monday explaining that the incident started with his son asking for a cup of ice from a flight attendant during beverage service.
The attendant did not hear Terrell Davis, so he “lightly tapped” the attendant on the arm to get his attention.

That is when things went wrong, as Terrell Davis explained: “He shouted ‘don’t hit me’ and left the cart to hurriedly approach the front of the plane. I was confused, as were the passengers in front of me who witnessed the exchange,” Davis wrote. “I thought nothing of it other than this particular employee was incredibly rude and blatantly wrong in his accusations of me hitting him. I did not see or interact with him further for the duration of the flight.”
When the flight landed, the pilot asked all passengers to remain seated as federal agents boarded to get Davis off.
Following the release of the above video, Davis’ attorney spoke out:
“This video confirms the harrowing tale of multiple law enforcement agents, including the FBI, boarding the plane and apprehending a shocked, terrified, humiliated, and compliant Mr. Davis in front of his wife, Tamiko, minor children, and more than one hundred passengers,” Davis’ attorney, Parker Stinar, said in a statement.
“The rationale behind the United Airlines employee’s deceitful or inaccurate report extends far beyond a mere ice request or innocent tap on the shoulder.”

The NFL Hall of Fame running back’s attorney, Parker Stinar, told CBS that a lawsuit could be coming.
“They need to be held accountable,” Stinar said. “We would love to see policy change. We think that’s very important, beginning with a sincere, true apology.”
